Global Career Bridge specializes in several U.S. work and cultural exchange programs that connect international talent with hospitality employers:
J-1 Internship Program – For current university students or recent graduates seeking 6–12 months of hands-on training in their field of study.
J-1 Trainee Program – For professionals with at least one year of related experience or five or more years of full-time work experience abroad.
J-1 Summer Work & Travel (SWT) – Designed for students seeking seasonal hospitality jobs during their summer break.
J-1 Specialist Program – For experienced professionals sharing specialized skills or knowledge within U.S. organizations.
H-2B Program – Seasonal visa program for employers needing additional staff in hospitality, landscaping, or recreation industries. GCB assists with recruitment and connects employers with licensed immigration attorneys for petition filing.
C1/D Visa Support – For cruise line and maritime employers seeking qualified EU candidates. GCB provides recruitment and visa coordination through our maritime partners.
Each program complies with U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Labor regulations and includes full recruitment, visa coordination, and participant support.
Yes, we can assist. GCB helps candidates secure safe, vetted housing and serves as the liaison between the participant and the housing provider. Since candidates arrive without a Social Security Number (SSN), signing a housing contract directly with a vendor can be difficult in the first weeks. To keep the process smooth, one of the most reliable models is for the host employer to handle the housing payments-typically by deducting the housing cost from the participant’s paycheck and paying the housing vendor directly.
That said, we understand that each situation is different. In some cases, participants may be able to secure and sign a housing contract on their own without issues. In other cases, the employer may choose to use housing arranged by GCB and simply remit the payment to GCB after deducting the cost from the employee’s paycheck. We’ve worked with all of these models in the past, and we can adapt the arrangement to what works best for the employer and the participant.
